Note: FOR LARGER GREENHOUSES USE MULTIPLE HEATERS. EG. 2 Elites up to 24ft x 10ft or 2 Regals up to 40ft by 15ft

Fuel Supplies - Which to Choose?

Natural Gas
By far the cheapest fuel and should be used whenever possible. This can be used with any heater as listed above.

Butane
Should NOT be used because the cylinders can loose pressure at low temperatures - just the time when heaters are needed.

Propane
Ideal for use in all gas greenhouse heaters and available in various sizes of cylinder. Use the 19kg or 46/47kg cylinders. We suggest two cylinders with automatic changeover valve which will ensure your heater never goes out unexpectedly. Don't forget we can supply your regulator, change over valves and fittings.

Paraffin
Is becoming more expensive and more difficult to obtain, however the heaters are cheap to buy.

Electricity
Although more expensive kw for kw it is easier it is easier to use than any other fuel and with a good accurate thermostat which will quickly react to changing temperatures savings can be made. Use the 1.0kW Levant Plus or the Elite 2.7kW with its electronic thermostat.
